Early in my career, it was not unusual for me to get an assignment to watch a competitor's webinar and report what they were doing. I found this to be a tedious chore and frankly a waste of time.
More recently, I heard from a student who hates attending some 'boring' lectures. Professors frequently post their lecture slides, but there may be a delay. This student mentioned that if he could get his time back without having to attend the whole lecture just to capture notes/screenshots, he would be more productive.
